Vivek has a wealth of experience in facial surgery having previously been employed by the NHS at world-renowned Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit. Vivek is also published author of over 20 research papers and has trained in specialist surgical techniques in Tokyo, Taipei and Melbourne. He also operates out of Harley Street in London.

Face Lift Surgery
Facial surgery has become the UK’s most popular cosmetic surgical procedures today, partly due to the surgical options available and also due to recent advances in surgical techniques. How long will the results last?

Recovery period
The length of recovery depends on several factors such as the procedure or combination of procedures undertaken; your skin and it resilience; the level of swelling and / or bruising that occurs post operatively. In general terms it takes 3-4 weeks for things to settle down after surgery, however it will typically be six months before you see the full benefit of your procedure.

How long does the procedure take?
Depending on the type of surgery you choose the procedure will take around two hours for a mini-face-lift, while a standard face-lift will take around 3 – 4 hours, however, this could take bit longer if you choose to combine your face-lift with eyelid or brow surgery.
